A few favorite frames from Samantha and Josue’s wedding a couple of Saturdays ago. Their wedding was at Our Lady of Guadeloupe in Helotes and reception at the Kendall Plantation in Boerne.
As you can see below, my approach is unobtrusive and to photograph the life of a wedding. I don’t capture many staged images as my couples who book me don’t want that. Instead, they want a more refined and hands-off approach. And they can just relax and enjoy their day without intrusions from a over zealous photographer. Most of what I love to do is anticipate ‘peak’ moments, and there herein lies why I love to photograph weddings. Many years ago, when I first started shooting professional, I worked for a local newspaper. I was trained to find the story and capture without setting shots up. Twenty years later, I take the same approach for weddings, avoiding cliches, finding the angles and capture the couples wedding day story.
Thanks to second shooter, Justin Brownell, along for the ride. Planner couple, Justin Berlanga, SkyeLane Consulting. See below, all shot with a Nikon D4/D800 and Leica M(240). Leave your comments below.
