Nikon 50mm f1.4G AF-S

I’m looking forward to getting the new Nikon f1.4G AF-S lens later this week from B&H in New York. There’s supposedly an improvement in sharpness, particular at the wide open apertures where I shoot most of my work compared to the older and beautiful ’50mm f1.4 D’ lens. Check out this review from Ken Rockwell

If anyone is interested in buying the ‘D’ lens, please email me. The lens is in excellent condition and about 4 years old. Includes a filter, original packaging and metal hood which was purchased separately.

Stephen Bunn - I would hold on to it a little longer if i were you… I was extremely disappointed with the 50g lens compared to my old 50mm 1.8d, yeah its sharp but that SWM in the lens is so slow, I have missed some great moments because that lens hunts around too much in low light. I use manual focus a lot with that lens. I also use the 35f2 the most as its focus is driven by the camera which is a little louder but much faster.
